Many years ago – back in time there was a pagan religion called Witchcraft. Dark clouds of misconceptions covered its existence. Even today most of the things about this secret society are still unknown to the public. The Church call them heretics, people call them Satanists. But who really are the Wiccans today? Who they once were?

To really understand this we must study them closely. See in the eyes this so called evil. What makes it look like that? Most of the people like to take the information they need from the media. So this is where we will start our search.

There are many movies about witches that possess power beyond the limits of the normal person. One of them is The Craft. Teenage girls discover a mystery that changes their live. People don’t like what they can’t completely understand. Many people like watching that kind of movies. But if they are faced with it in the real life they’ll be scared from it. It is a natural reaction - what scares us must be evil. When we face it we don’t usually think things like “I don’t understand them but I’m sure that they’re good”. No – they are evil. We don’t understand them and we begin thinking how dangerous they could be with all these powers.

Now let’s go back to the real life. Let’s see what happens with a coven when it’s formed. Usually a group of teenagers form a coven and begin searching what is like to be a witch. They become seekers. They collect data, buy stuff and perform rituals. Now let’s for example put one of their parents there. One of the mothers of these teenagers finds out about one of their rituals. She is scared about her “little baby”. “Who told you to do that?”, “Is this some kind of sect?” are the usual questions. In the mind of the mother something went terribly wrong. It looks like something is happening with her child and she can’t understand it. If she tells someone about this – it will be all kinds of negative things. And in the end Wicca is again an evil thing.

Usually the problems of religion are that everything comes down to faith. When someone don’t want to accept the things that way he begin searching for some other form of religion or stop searching at all and say that god doesn’t exist for him. We all want a power that is greater than us. We want help in our life because we see that sometimes we can’t make it all by ourselves. Wicca is one of the paths that can lead us to the more we could be. Maybe if people begin checking things before adjudicate for themselves everything could change. In the end – people are those who rule. Not a single man or a political force. Only people but the problem is that most of the times we don’t really understand that. The best we can do is to see with our own eyes, to understand with our own mind. There are many things that are misunderstood. If Wicca is good and we didn’t understand that till now let’s only hope that when something really bad comes we will see it in time.
